| Abstract: | Pragmatic failure, one of troubles confronting English learners results form ignorance of the differences between pragmatic principles in English and Chinese languages. The author has enumerated some kinds of pragmatic failure and provided explanation of them based on the pragmatic principles in order that the importance of pragmatics should be emphasized in English teaching. |
