Transcending Cultural Relativism and Cultural Universalism

Cultural Relativism became quite popular in the 20 th century,from the internal level of intellecture circle;it is the inevitable consequence of the logical development of universalism;from the external level of sociology,it is tightly connected with the 20 th century-specific social cultural crisis.There are two theoretical long standing mistaken ideas in cultural relativism:1 denying the cultural commonality;2 being against the historical progressiveness.For the sake of cultural identification and construction,it is essential to surpass the cultural relativism and cultural universalism;and to stick to the combination of modern and national features.
