| Abstract: | The image of window is an important component of the whole ones in Wuthering Heights. It covers many meanings in regard to the author's deep feelings,the destiny of characters and the novel's thematic ideology,makes clear to the heart of the author's yearnings and pursuits,gathers exact cultural details,purifies people's souls and serves to help them realize philosophical wisdom. By means of it,Emily Bronte gave a good account of hardly-achieved ideals and aspirations in capitalist society of 19th century. |
