The Transtextual Study of The Gander's Head and The Lost Boat

"The Head of General" and "The Lost Boat" are representative historical works of Shi Zhecun and Ge Fei respectively. By contrast, we can find out that this two works have a lot in common in the aspects such as plot structure, role installation, conflicting pattern as well as the psychoanalysis of characters. As the narration of historical incidents goes, they all lay stress on the revelation of the inner world of characters as well as their subconscious activity. And all this indicates certain inner connection between the new historical novel and Shi Zhecun's historical novels in the 1930s.
