摘    要:语言教学的目的是开发所有语言资源 ,并将这些资源传授给语言学习者 ,使他们能够正确地表达自己的思想。随着社会的进步和科技的发展 ,传统的教学手段已无法满足教学改革的需要 ,急需找到适合已有的各种交流系统的教学手段。本文首先对语言的四个基本技能进行深入的分析 ,然后探讨了采用现代技术的教学手段的可能性 ,最后就如何发展外语教学 ,提出了一些观点和建议

Abstract:Language teaching(LT) aims to open up its resources to the learners in order to make the learners find the right words and sentences to convey the meaning intended. Language Teaching began in the remote past and underwent so many changes during the course of its development. At present the popular LT methods of the past are not useful and effective because we are in a need-based curriculum and we are always in an urge to find the suitable and needful methods, which are important to meet the different types of communication systems existing nowadays. At this context this paper gains importance in expressing a useful insnight in the four basic skills of language and in providing some currently existing LT methods with some newer techniques and finally it ends with some innovative ideas and suggestions for developing second language learning/teaching methods.
