| 摘 要： | 委婉语是用令人愉快的表达方式代替惹人不快和令人恐惧的事物。由于中西方文化差异，对生死，离合，老少，贫富的观点不同，在汉语和英语中出现了不同文化内涵的委婉语。

| Abstract: | The paper makes comparison and analysis of four groups of main dissimilarities of euphemisms between English and Chinese. Owing to the difference of Chinese culture and Western culture, their attitudes towards birth and death, marriage and divorce, young and old,rich and poor are diverse. This leads to the appearance of different euphemisms. |
