在沿海与内地之间:武汉对外开放的非典型性

晚清时期,我国内陆城市和沿海城市的影响发生了颠覆性的变化,传统上属“次要性”和“异质性”的沿海城市由传统向近代转型,随着沿海城市现代化水平的提升和沿海城市体系的逐步形成,沿海社会与文化在整个中国社会与文化的边缘性地位不复存在,开始以一种新型的甚至主流文化的姿态对内地社会文化发生影响。汉口地处内陆又直通海洋,兼有沿海和内陆双重优势的区位格局,在近代中国对外开放中充当着跳板、桥梁和中间人的角色。其早期现代化介于沿海和内陆之间,亦土亦洋,亦中亦西,传统与现代并存,城市与乡村同处,开放与封闭交织。

Between the Coastal Areas and the Interior Areas: the Non-typicalness of Opening to the Outside World of Wuhan

In the period of the later Qing Dynasty,overturning changes took place both in interior and coastal cities.The coastal cities which were traditionally considered as being "sub-important" and "non-assimilated" began the changes from tradition to modernization.With the elevation of the level of the modernization and the gradual formation of system of the coastal cities,the marginal position of the coastal society and culture in China's society and culture had gone forever and they began to affect the interior society and culture in a way of new-type and even mainstreaming culture.Hankou is in the inland and is directly connected to the ocean,accompanied with dual advantages of the coastal areas and interior areas in regional layout and plays a role as gangplank,bridge and go-between.Between modernizations of the coastal areas and the interior areas is Hankou's early modernization,which is with the characteristics of both native and foreign,both Chinese and westernized and with co-existence of both tradition and modernization,both urbanism and countryside and both opening and closing to the outside world.
