新移民文学的原罪与原味——重评《北京人在纽约》和《曼哈顿的中国女人》及其历史影响

《北京人在纽约》和《曼哈顿的中国女人》是新移民文学早期的“经典”作品。两部作品凭借“群选经典”效应建立了新移民文学与当代文坛、国内读者、文化市场之间的共生关系。因为市场化的操作手法，两部作品给新移民文学的发展造成诸多负面影响（“原罪”），同时，在写作上，它们也开启了新移民文学自叙传小说、世俗品格、代际特色和移民情结等鲜明标识（“原味”）。多年来，新移民文学一直沿着《北京人在纽约》《曼哈顿的中国女人》开辟的道路前行，摆脱“原罪”“原味”的束缚，以主体意识乃至间性意识努力超越，这将成为新移民文学保持个性、继续繁荣的关键。

The Original Sin and Original Feature of the New Immigrant Literature: an Reevaluation of Beijing Man in New York and Chinese Woman in Manhattan and their Historical Influences

Beijing Man in New York and Chinese Woman in Manhattan are two classics of the New Immigrant Literature. Two works established the symbiotic relationship of the New Immigrant writers, contemporary literary world, domestic readers and cultural market by mass selection. Because of the market-oriented promotion and writing strategy, they have caused many negative effects on the development of the New Immigrant Literature, which can be called Original Sin. At the same time, they also established the characteristics of the New Immigrant Literature: Self-narrative novels, secular character, values of a generation and the complex of immigrant, which can be called Original Features. Over the years, the New Immigrant Literature has been following the mode established by two works. Getting rid of the influence of "Original Sin" and "Original features" and trying to get greater progress by subjective consciousness and even inter-subjective consciousness, it will be the key to maintaining individuality and continuing to prosper of the New Immigrant Literature
