“语言学无国界”说献疑

“语言学无国界”说没有可靠的理论基础:语言究竟是什么的问题尚未解决，谁也不能创建出一种世界通用的语言学理论；包括语言研究在内的人文学科研究具有文化差异性。同时，此说经不起实践检验，如长期趋从西方语言学理论研究汉语不仅缺乏应有的积极意义，且影响了汉语研究的正常进行，阻碍了语言学的健康发展。因此，“语言学无国界”之说不可轻信。

A Question to Borderless Linguistics

The idea of “borderless linguistics” lacks a solid theoretic foundation. No one can work out a universal linguistic theory that can apply to all occasions if the fundamental problem of what language truly is stays unresolved. The humanities including language studies are culture-specific. What’s more, the idea cannot stand the test of practice. If we always study Chinese by forcibly following the Western linguistic theories, it will not only meaningless but also hinder the normal advancement of Chinese language study which harms the healthy development of our linguistic studies. That is why the idea of “borderless linguistics” must be dispelled.
