An Analysis of the Current Situation,Hotspots and Development Trend of Linguistic Landscape Research in China

Taking advantage of CNKI, RUC and Wanfang journal full-text database to collect journal articles during 1997-2018, the paper makes a statistic analysis of the domestic linguistic landscape research based on bibliometrics and the platforms of Microsoft Excel 2016 and CiteSpaceV. The status quo, hotspots and the trends of domestic linguistic landscape study are revealed by using the numerical scales and knowledge schema. The total number of the articles on language landscape published in domestic journals are rising on the general trend. Among them, more than half of the articles are empirical investigations. Viewed from the high frequent keywords and the keyword co-currence schema, the research hotpots of the domestic language landscape are multilingual landscape, language landscape & Language policy, language landscape & English globalization, language landscape & minority languages. The research trend of domestic language landscape research manifests in the in-depth study of multilingualist landscape, the border enlargement of language landscape and the enhancement of interdisciplinary study
