| Abstract: | Guided by the principle of “internal observation with external references”, Liu Miqing has proposed the holistic cultural translation theory. The theory takes language and cultural information as the starting point, the information processing as the task and the meaning representation and its effects as the end. Holistic cultural translation theory approaches translation with the insights from such disciplines as linguistics, psychology, aesthetics and politics. |
