Revolution and Ruling:a Comparison of Mao Zedong's and Deng Xiaoping's Thought about Legitimacy

The thought about political legitimacy in the West,due to its strong color of elitism,is doomed to get into trouble.Mao Zedong＇s thought about revolutionary legitimacy,which lays stress on civilians,successfully solved the problem involved in the building of legitimacy under the revolutionary condition,Deng Xiaoping,on the other hand,created the thought about the legitimacy of the ruling of the communist parties which well balanced the relation between civilians and elites,set up a positive interactive mechanism for the Party,the government and the people,and opened up a new road based on the solidification of the legitimacy of economy,laws and ideology.
