语用失误是异文化冲突的常见现象。本文从语用学的角度出发，通过列举大量语用失误的案例，分析了跨文化交际中语用失误的种种原因，以期在注重语言知识的同时，避免不必要的交际失当和交际误解，从而提高英语综合应用能力。

On the Pragmatic Failure in Cross- cultural Communication

Pragmatic failure always brings about cultural conflicts. From the perspective of pragmatics ,this paper discusses pragmatic failure and causes by analyzing some cases in cross - cultural Communication. It aims to remind foreign language learners to be more sensitive to pragmatic failure and avoid unnecessary inappropriateness and misunderstanding so as to develop their communicative competence and abilities to use English language.
