基督教浸礼宗在凉山彝区的传播历程及背景——以美国传教士柯饶富经历为例

综观近代中西文化互动与交流过程，西方文化往往表现更为主动、活跃与深入。其中传教士的活动堪称中西文化互动极为重要的组成部分。他们在传播宗教的同时，事实上不仅带来了当时西方先进的医疗、教育等理念，还使中国边地族群的许多文化事项和文物古籍也得到很好的记录与保存，并在今天已以各种方式不断“返回本土”供后人分享和研究。20世纪50年代以前，美国浸信宣道会曾在尚处于奴隶社会时期极度封闭的中国凉山彝族地区的传教活动就是一个极具说服力的例子。本文以美国浸信宣道会在华传教事业兴衰更迭为背景，记述美国传教士柯饶富等人在凉山彝族地区的新教传教活动，试图由此细节观察近代西方基督教浸礼宗在中国传播的历史浪潮。
