How did the Chinese and the Western Receive the Other Religion

The explanation about the transmigrations of life and death,retribution of cause and effect from the Buddhism both coincide with the Confucianism and make up Taoism with ethics and coincide with the Taoism and make up Confucianism with promising transcendental salvation. The Chinese had easily received Buddhism and constructed a flexible spirit philosophy of Confucianism and link up the life aesthetics of Taoism.
