体育运动中的形体美、动作美、造型美和协调美 ,能够陶冶人的情操 ,净化人的灵魂 ,可谓魅力无限。在体育教学活动中 ,美的内容及其表现形式也是丰富多彩的。教学活动中所蕴涵的审美因素丰富着学生的审美想象 ,使其在教学过程中大胆地表现和创造美 ,不断提高学生的审美表现、审美创造和审美欣赏能力。体育课是进行审美教育最直接、最有效的途径之一。体育教师也应充分挖掘教学中的美育因素 ,让美育贯穿于体育教学活动的始终。
