Abstract: | This is a critique of research on which the strategy of China's current population planning is based. The author states that the research process should be more multidimensional, involving both qualitative and quantitative aspects, static and dynamic analyses, and both macro- and micro-level analysis. The strategy should also take into consideration political as well as socioeconomic factors. The article concludes with a summary of macro- and micro-level plans for the country's future population development. |
