| Abstract: | The Social Semiotics Translation Method emphasizes that translation should be conducted in the sociocultural context, and the translators do what they can to put the designative meaning, the linguistic meaning and the pragmatic meaning into the target language. It's helpful to the proper translation of idioms, esp. avoiding the drain on cultural connotation. |
