The Traditional Cultural Concept vs Contemporary Multipolar Cultural Values

The article analyzes the wide sense cultural concept concerning institutional culture and non institutional culture, and community and modern society, and renders judgement on the narrow sense cultural concept in the aspects such as Liang Shuming's cultural neutral theory and Liang Qichao's inherent ethnic weakness, American missionary's bias and Chinese intellectual elite's cultural criticism. It also probes into the cultural confusion and transcendence of values in broader aspects including the general situation of Chinese cultural ecology, the limitations of three cultural morphological categories, the lost value of multipolar culture, developing control culture and cultivating cultural cohesion.
