摘    要:工业设计产生于西方工业社会,有其发生、发展的深层原因,如果只看到技术的结果,而忽视促成结果的思想方法,则不论是在设计创作实践,还是在教学上,对工业设计这一学科的认知就欠完整,对设计个体即设计者所应负有的社会、历史责任就缺乏必要的认同———这必将制约工业设计的发展。20世纪60年代开始,西方各国普遍进入后工业社会,工业设计界出现反思设计本身的反异化设计。工业设计在我国出现时间较晚,所面临的问题是复杂的,设计者应作出自己的努力,寻求理想的工作形态。

On misconceptions in teaching and practice of industrial design
Abstract:The goal of industrial design is to upgrade the quality of human life constantly. Nearly 400 universities in our country have set up this specialty since the 1970's, so there are a considerable number of designers trained every year. In contrast to the international design trend, however, our industrial design still lags behind for lacking uniqueness and status. In other words, this development is based on "quantity" and not "quality". To break through in this aspect, we must first clear up some misconceptions in teaching and practice of industrial design. Instead of only focusing on the final results of technological contribution we must pay more attention to the underlined way of thinking. A comprehensive understanding of industrial design is necessary for the designer, including his social and historical responsibility. This paper explicates the reasons of this circumstance, trying to discuss the course of western industrial design's dissimilation by commercial culture and the course of its anti-dissimilation, looking forward to an ideal working modality, with the expectation to assist current China’s industrial design.
