The Current Situation and Trend of the Supply and Demand of the Cotton Industry

As land intensity agricultural product,the cotton growth space is limited,in a short time the gap between supply and demand of cotton cannot be solved relying on domestic production.As the demand for cotton grows,substantial imports will become normal for the cotton industry,the foreign dependency degree for future cotton market will rise further.In order to enhance the competition of cotton industry in China,we should establish authoritative information release platform and cotton early warning mechanism,deepen cotton market reform,to establish the modern cotton market system,strengthen multilateral and bilateral cooperation with the product cotton countries to expand the source of imports of cotton.
