Consciousness in Poetic Form and Return in Aesthetics--Metrical Tendency in Ai Qing's Middle and Later Poetry

Ai Qing's early poems pursue to prosaic beauty and discard musicality, but in his later poems, he consciously pursues musicality and metricality, and tries to rectify the abuse of free and prosaic tendency in his early ones, which indicates Ai Qing's consciousness of poetic form, and the aesthetical return partly to the tradition of musicality and connotation of classical Chinese poetry.
