| 摘 要： | 根据西方音位学理论，可阐述音节在语言中的普遍性和固定性，而对英汉两种语言的音节结构进行对比和分析，则可总结出两者的许多异同之处。英语音节结构的模式也同样可用来分析汉语音节结构的分段，这就是所谓英式汉语音节结构模式。

| Abstract: | The article offers a substantial explanation of the hypothesis that the syllable is an element of a hierarchically organized prosodicstructure according to a contmporary phonological theory. It focuseson a comparison between English and Chinese Syllable structures and ananallsisof their differences and similarities.The article argues thatthe syllable template of English canalso be employed in analysing thesyllable segments ofChinese and italso represents and English syllable template for Chiese phonetics. |
