通过探索长沙城中“井”的民俗功能的变迁,揭示城市社会的转型。在传统社会,古井帮助构建了古代城市社会的基本结构,反映了城市社会传统秩序。作为现代文明标志之一的自来水在城市出现和普及,以及随着城市建设的推进,古井的民俗功能开始弱化并进而全面退化。然而,当自来水水质受到质疑时,人们重新唤起古井情怀。

From Tradition to Modern: the Change to the Urban Ancient Wells' Folklore

This thesis has made a study on urban social transformation by exploring the change of urban ancient wells' folklore. This study has found that in the old age, ancient wells participated in constructing old urban social structure, and reflected the traditional social order, and that when the tap water which is a sign of modern civilization occurred, the functions of ancient wells degenerated thoroughly, and that when the tap water quality was discredited, the urban people began to love the ancient wells again.
