| Abstract: | The problems facing mankind in the 21st century, such as population, resources, environment, are closely related with life science. Last century saw the tremendous advance in life science, especially the discovery of DNA's double spiral structure in the 1950s, which greatly advanced molecular biology and molecular genetics, revealed the basic structure of genetic material. The forefronts of life science in this century include human gene group project, growth biology, the function of the human brain, biological engineering, the relation between life science and environment. Life science is still developing, providing knowledge and technolegy for man to create a better world. |
