| Abstract: | The importance of reducing lead time on quick response is addressed. The optimal lead time models under centralized and decentralized decision making are respectively studied in a distribution system with a manufacturer and a retailer. The paper also considers the cooperation between the parties under decentralized control, and proposes a coordination strategy for distribution based on lead time discount. |
