三峡地区新石器时代古城遗迹的考古与研究

在长江三峡地区以东的两湖和以西的成都平原都发现有成群的史前时代的古城，这些古城皆见有用泥土垒筑的“城垣”，而在三峡地区不见有像两湖及成都平原史前时代那样的“城垣”，当时三峡地区的人们多是用一些竹木植物编扎成的“木栅栏”及自然石块垒筑的“石围墙”来用于防御。这些防御设施遗迹的发现，对中国文明起源的研究具有重要的意义。

The Archaeological Discoveries of and Researches into the Neolithic City Sites of the Three Gorges District

Groups of prehistoric city sites have been discovered in Hunan and Hubei province in the east of Three Gorges and in the Chengdu Plain in the West of Three Gorges,all of the cities were surrounded by city walls made of earth, however,in the Three Gorges district,the cities were not rounded by city walls,most of them were rounded by palings made of wood or bamboo,or by stone walls.Anyway,the discoveries of all these defense installations were important to the research into origin of Chinese civilization.
