关于科学史功能研究的若干思考

科学史具有借鉴、启迪和教化等功能;然而,科学史功能研究中存在的若干误区却妨碍了科学史功能的发挥。有鉴于此,要注意区别科学史的预测功能和启迪功能,正确理解科学史上的爱国主义教育功能,用历史唯物主义观点,从科学、技术、社会相互联系的整体中去考察科学家的成长及其科技创新活动,将科学史功能看成是物质价值和精神价值的统一体,并用系统论的观点看待科学史功能的发挥。

Some Problems on Functional Researches of Science History

The history of science has functions such as benefiting, enlightening,and educating.However,during the research of science history,there might be errors to prevent the release of all the functions.Thus,it is nesessary to distinguish science history's function of predicting from its function of enlightening,to fully understand its function of patriotic education,to wholly analyse the growth and scientific innovations of scientists from the point of historical materialism and a combination of science,technology and society,to regard science history as!a unity of material value and spritual value,and to review the release of its functions from the point of systematism.
