Study of Chinese Women Translators in the Twentieth Century

In the twentieth century,a galaxy of Chinese women translators emerged.Their contributions are chiefly in the field of foreign literature translation.In translation strategies,a majority of women translators advocate literal translation as a chief method and liberal translation as a secondary one.In translation styles,every one of them has her own style.However,as a group,their translation styles are more delicate and gentle than those of men translators.They all have the similar growing environment such as rich family circumstances and savoir-vivre,which is the foundation of their translation works.Moreover perfect composing ability made their translation strategies more colorful.Thought their got huge contribution in translation,their social status was still unimportant.It's urgent for us to have a systematic research on women translators.
