| 摘 要： | 20世纪20年代湖南长沙发生了两个新闻事件:周南女校学生袁瞬英自杀事件和彭襄弃妻事件,湖南新闻界、教育界和普通社会民众围绕这两起事件发起了关于“婚姻自由”和“教育平等”的争论,此后发生的湖南的女性参政热潮,虽然有更为复杂的区域文化背景原因,这两起事件也是触媒之一。

| Abstract: | This article discusses the women's liberation thought and related movements in Hunan around the May Fourth Movement.It centers on two concrete cultural incidents: the suicide of the student in Zhounan girls' school and Peng Xiang abandoning his wife in order to reveal the the cultural atmosphere in Hunan at that time.The dispute on "marriage freedom" and "education equality" and the subsequent trend of women's enthusiam for politics in Hunan became the hot topic in media at that time. |
