Paradoxical Reality of a Gender Group: On Women Librarians' Roles in College Libraries

The fact that women staff account for a higher proportion in today's college libraries is attributed to many factors,such as social demands,occupational features,and women's gender characteristics.While women librarians have their advantages that can hardly be shared by male staff,their talent as a whole is not brought into full play,owing to social factors as well as women themselves.Only with strong awareness of crisis and by incessant learning can women staff in college libraries meet the demands of the time and succeed in the ever-changing situations at college.
