原始主义价值观在美国电影《人猿泰山》和中国现代话剧《北京人》等众多的文学作品中都有表现。在俄罗斯小说《安娜·卡列尼娜》、英国小说《查泰莱夫人的情人》和中国当代小说《上海宝贝》等的“婚外情”叙事中，叙事模式和叙事线索隐喻着价值冲突和价值选择，在创作主体最终的立场上，选择了原始主义价值。但原始主义的价值在不同的民族语境和时代语境下，既有共同性、承续性，又有着差异性和民族性。
