Translation from the perspective of relevance theory

Gutt applies the basic principles of Relevance Theory to translation and regards translation as interlingual interpretive use.The optimal relevance is always the principle that should be adhered to in translation course.Since faithfulness is subject to constraints of relevance,it constrains translational faithfulness with full sensitivity to context.In order to realize the translator's aim,the translator should make the communicator's informative intention recognized by the audience.The achievement of more faithful translation and the interpretive cognition research of translation course should be improved in the translation theory based on Relevance Theory.
