徐畅教授撰写的《二十世纪二三十年代华中地区农村金融研究》从一个侧面反映了近代中国农村经济和农民生活的实况,展现了近代中国农村经济的困境。它具有资料翔实、内容丰富,论证方法较为完善、内容有一定的创新等特点,其研究成果对现实也有一定的借鉴作用。当然,该书也存在一些不足。

Professor Xu Chang's book,Studies on Northern China's Rural Finance in 1920s to 1930s,reflects the real condition of modern China's rural economy and peasants' life,and reveals the straits in rural economy.It is characteristic of substantial data,rich content,considerably perfect proof method,and originality in content;moreover,its findings can be used for reference although there are some deficiencies in the book.
