英语教学中的文化因素及其运用

语言和文化是不可分割的。语言是文化的一个组成部分 ,又是文化的载体 ,文化的传授和传播必然借助于语言。语言的学习不仅仅是对其语法规律的学习 ,还包括了对其所在文化背景的一系列惯例和准则的学习。脱离文化研究的语言学习和教学是抽象的、枯燥的、有时甚至会造成误导 ,因此 ,生命力也是有限的。缺乏对文化因素的理解 ,必定会影响学生对由此产生的情景的认识和理解。要真正了解这种语言 ,就必须了解产生、使用这种语言的特定的文化背景

Culture in College English Teaching

Language is inseparable from culture. It is a part of culture and a carrier of language. The spread of culture certainly falls back on language. Language learning not only means the study of grammatical rules but also the study of a series of customs and norms in that culture. Language learning and teaching will be abstract, boring and sometimes false; and hence, it will not last long. The students will not have full understanding of the real situation without the knowledge of culture. To have a good command of the language, they have to know well of the cultural background of the society in which the language is used.
