Kierkegaar's World

Kierkegaar believes that there is a paradoxical world as well as the power of paradox. He believes "not make believe" so that he could steel his will with that idea. Kierkegaar uses Abraham's story from the Bible as an example to show that "belief" is the strong feeling for the impossible. However, Kierkegaar's belief differs from theism because he considers that "belief" lies in the course of fighting against God. Kierkegaar is not an atheist, but he displays both belief and disbelief of God at the same time. It is almost impossible for us to understand his attitude towards God. Kierkegaar's position has showed us his spiritual world is his own pure world, which is different from that of Hegel.
