近代白话文创作的困境及其自我否定情结

对近代白话文创作热潮，当下学界多喜着眼于其与五四白话文运动之间的启迪承传关系的探讨，批评趣向上也是极力强调近代白话文作家的保守性和五四作家的超越性，这种批评旨趣所隐含的价值判断是对近代白话文热潮的存在价值和意义的怀疑。其实早在1897年裘廷梁就提出了白话文理论，陈天华、邹容、秋瑾等人积极从事白话文创作。但是由于报刊的困境及其理论的自我否定，并没有掀起狂澜。

The Creative Dilemma of The Modern Writings in The Vernacular and Its Self-denial Complex

As to the upsurge in modern writings in the vernacular, the current academic circles prefer to discuss its enlightening relationship with that of May Fourth Period and the implied value judgment in criticism is a kind of doubt to the existing value and significance of the upsurge. In fact, the theory was proposed as early as 1897 by Qiu Ting-liang, but it didn＇ t become popular due to the dilemma of the press and the self-denial of the theory.
