时间意识与中国传统审美方式——与西方比较的分析

本文以中国传统时间意识与西方时间意识之间所显示的差异为线索,以揭示时间意识所模塑的中国传统审美的独特方式。时间意识是一个文化体将世界、民族和个体生活纳入可靠形式结构中的基本模式。因此,时间意识应该被看做是审美和艺术的形式动力机制。时间意识由本源时间,即人的存在的展开或生命生成的展开,和被表征的时间,即一个文化体对本源时间的刻写、度量、呈现和控制所表征的时间所构成。在古代,从古希腊起,西方的时间意识以建立永恒观念以及永恒与世俗时间现象之间的矛盾为特征。但中国传统文化并没有形成永恒概念以及永恒与世俗现象之间的冲突,而是形成了生与息双面体循环的时间观,中国哲学中的本体或道被认为就是时间的本源,并在时间之中。这样的时间意识模塑了中国传统审美的独特方式:对人的生命时间之流的敏感,并从时间之流变中汲取诗情和灵感。
