| Abstract: | The Prague School, flourished in 1930's, is also called Functional Linguistic School. Together with the Structural theory, the Functional theory was used in the field of language analysis. The most extraordinary achievement of the Prague School is the clear distinction between phonetics and phonology and the establishment of phonology. The theoretical studies of morphology by the Prague School are contradictory to the syntax. The functional sentence perspective (FSP)is adopted by the Prague School to analyze sentences. |
