论荀子关于人生的三个重要命题

儒家学说的集大成者荀子在中国思想史上首先提出人与动物的本质区别在于其有意识地组成社会集团,并以此为基础提出了关于人生问题的三个重要命题———人生不能无群、人生不能无乐和人生不能无师法。群居合一是人类“制天命而用之”的前提,但由于人性本恶,因此,行乐教、遵师法是改造人性中恶的因子、保证社会分层而不分裂、群体而不解体的必由之路。

On Xunzi's Three Important Propositions about Life

Xun zi,the primary representative of Confucian doctrine,firstly puts forward that substantial difference between human beings and animals is whether to form social groups consciously,and further he puts forward three important propositions about life: People cannot live alone without society;People cannot lead a high qualified life without music;People cannot live in an orderly way without teachers and principles.People's forming a firm community is the reason why people can conquer nature and make nature serve people fully.As human beings are intrinsically ill,music teaching and the respect of teachers and principles are required to reconstruct the nature of human beings,to prevent the abruption while allowing the ranking of society,and to confirm the formation rather than the disintegration of society.
