Revolt of the Abandoned Women--The Diference of Characters Between Medea and Qin Xiang-lian

In China and Greek drama, Medea and Qin Xiang-lian had similar experience. With litter children, they were abandoned by their husbands and oppressed by authority of the husband and royal court. Faced the unfair fate, they had revolted. Because of the diference of circumstances and cultural tradition, they had diferent ways of revolt and revealed distinctive character. Medea was full of strength and enthusiasm .She faced the facts clearly and avenged the oppressors boldly and cruelly. Qin Xiang-lian was gentle and tenacious. She bore and forbore.
