Chinese scholars have usually regarded Roland Barthes as a structuralist or post-structuralist who greatly called for self-reference of inner-text.In the fact,Roland Barthes was always participating in the construction of text from the point of intellectual's criticism.His myth semiology tied to make ideological criticism and formalist criticism through opening out the connotative meanings from the same frameworks of language,which made him different from the Left and single linguistics.Therefore,reviewing Barthes' mythology is helpful to understand his complexity and look into the mass-cultural phenomena from the point of "Modern Myth".
