A False But Meaningful Issue An Interpretation of the legitimacy of Chinese Philosophy As A Discipline

The legitimacy of Chinese philosophy as a discipline has been a hot issue discussion in the philosophical circles in recent years. According to this author,as people investigate this issue from the perspective of what content philosophy ought to have by referring to the western philosophy,it is,in fact,a false issue,because there is a realm in different kinds of civilization which religion,art and sciences can never substitute. If only there exists this field,the corresponding discipline with this realm as its research object gets its own legitimacy. As for how people would name it,it is an issue not related to legitimacy. Only when people consider this issue of legitimacy of Chinese philosophy in terms of its form as a discipline rather than in terms of its content,will it really get its own meaning.
