On Tang Jun-Yi's Aesthetics Based on the Theory of "Heart as Noumenon"

The theory of “Heart as Noumenon” is the most important philosophic foundation of Tang Junyi’s aesthetics, this theo ry believes that human beings’ spiritual activities are the “noumenon”, while the various cultural ideas are the use of the “noume non”. Tang Junyi said that the significance of our lives lies in the pursuit of beauty by our spirit. To express and appreciate beauty, people need not only do some artistic activities, but also make some promotion of our personality, thus to become a most real ,most good ,and most perfect people.
