| 摘 要： | 20世纪初,株萍铁路和粤汉铁路相继建成通车。株洲作为两条铁路的交汇点,在抗战时又由此向西展筑湘黔铁路,遂成为中国南方重要的交通枢纽。铁路对株洲城市的兴起有着巨大推动作用:铁路枢纽地位带来了运输业的迅猛发展,使株洲迅速成为货物转运中心和商品集散地;促进了株洲近代工商业的起步、发展与繁荣;导致了株洲人口的聚集和街市的扩张。在50年间,株洲由一个小集市迅速发展成为具有一定规模的城市。

| Abstract: | In the early twentieth century,Zhuzhou-Pingxiang railway and Yue-Han railway were open to traffic.Zhuzhou,the cross of the two railways and the start of a newly built Xiang-Qian railway during the Anti-Japanese war,has become an important hub of transportation in Southern China.
