A Research in Jiangyin on People's Separation between Household Registered and Actual Residences

Based on the sample survey on registered households in City Jiangyin, the paper studies the phenomenon of separation between registered and actual residences in the migration of the city＇s registered population, analyzes its causes and impacts. The countermeasures are also suggested to improve the register system, to strength the policing functions in neighborhoods, to establish the information - sharing platform, to raise residents＇ awareness of household registration and to strengthen family planning work and pension services of the people not living in the place of the registration.
