太平天国运动时期山东绅士举办团练的原因探析

太平天国的北伐军、捻军进入山东后,有大批的山东地方绅士起来举办团练,主要是基于以下两个原因:首先,最主要的原因是太平天国、捻军及其它农民起义直接损害到了绅士的自身利益,绅士们办团的最主要的动机就是为了自卫身家,安靖地方治安,以维护自身特权与利益;其次,绅士们大批办团,还与清王朝的鼓励与加恩奖赏也是分不开的.总之,最终促成绅士办团的最根本原因,就在于绅士们对当时主流社会价值规范,即对以儒学为根基的封建王朝专制统治的认同与支持.
