社火溯源

社火是古代祭祀土地神和火神活动的延续。在中国,国家政权建立之后,祭祀土地神的活动逐步分化为国家祭祀和民间祭祀两种,国家祭祀土地神活动与祭祀谷神、四方神活动合并,演变为祭祀社稷。民间祭祀土地神活动逐步与祭火活动融合,发展成为了社火。

On the Origin of Shehuo

Shehuo is a continuation of an ancient tradition of offering sacrifices to Land Gods and Fire Gods. In ancient China,after the Administrative State was established the activity offering sacrifices to Land Gods was gradually divided into the state offering and folk offerings. Over time,the state offerings to Land Gods merged with the offering for Grain Gods,and the Gods off all 4 directions into one offering for the God of the land and grain . with the passage of time folk activities that offered sacrifices to the Land God mired with sacrifices to the Fire Gods and developed into the Shehuo.
