对比修辞学研究认为各语言有其独特的修辞规范,并且干扰着第二语言的写作。任何两种语言间有相同点,也有很多地方不一样,英语教师注意了不同点,而常常忽略了"相似点"。不同的地方当然要注意,相同的地方更要注意,因为相同的地方需要特别注意。有差别的地方或许会犯错,但是,正是有差别,学习时会特别注意,或许不会出问题。相似的地方比不相似的地方或许更容易出问题,因为相似点掩盖了更细微方面的差别。

Contrastive Rhetoric: Existentials in English and Chinese

English teachers often find inappropriate usages of linguistic and rhetorical paradigms specific to the native language of the students in their English writings.Their writings are awkward and unidiomatic,which relates to the organizational arrangement,the wording,the rhetorical properties of the native language,and mother tongue transfer as well.The similarities between languages merit our attention,but the differences command more of our attention.Great care is always unmistakably exercised in dealing with differences between languages,but little attention is given to similarities.Similarities are deceptive and frequently neglected in language learning.
