《诗经》远古婚俗透视

<诗经>有不少远古不文明婚俗的反映:以女方为支配的赘婚,以男子为中心的媵妾婚,前者造成了<诗经>时代独特的弃夫现象,后者更造成了当时大量存在的弃妇现象;此外,还有兄弟共妻制、多夫多妻制、收继制等婚姻形式.所有这些都是远古蒙昧、野蛮时代遗留下来的群婚与对偶婚的习俗.以此可见,<诗经>时代是一个婚姻状况混乱、婚恋比较自由的特殊时代.

An Analysis on the Marriage Customs in The Book of Songs

Some uncivilized marriage customs in ancient times are reflected in The Book of Songs, such as the son-in-law marriage under woman s domination and the man-centered concubine marriage. The former caused the unique abandonment of husbands, whereas the latter caused the abandonment of wives which was very common in ancient China. Other kinds of marriage customs can also be found in The Book of Songs such as fraternal polyandry, polygamy and inheritable marriage. Those were all traces of communal marriage and dual marriage in the uncivilized and savage age. It follows that marriage chaos existed in the times of The Book of Songs. In other words, marriage and love were comparatively free in the special times.
